Three Pieces: Canto del Alba, Lamento, and Nocturno (Flute Alone)

Mario Lavista presents this collection of three pieces: Canto del Alba (Dawn Song) for solo flute, Lamento for solo bass flute, and Nocturno for solo alto flute.

Written on three poems - one by Wang Wei, one by Li-Po, and one by Sia Ching - these three pieces explore Lavista's particular grasp of the flute's microtonal and extended possibilities, in particular mimicking various techniques of oriental flutes.
