The original edition of 1919 has been completely revised. In 1995 Alwin Wollinger got an old edition from the previous ownership of the flutist Erich Meyer, where uncertain passages of the first edition were pasted over with handwritten entries. The corrections were probably made at the request of the composer. The remaining inconsistencies have been eliminated by Henner Eppel in 2012.
